Performances
Applications for 2024 are now closed. Stay tuned for 2025 applications coming in the Spring. Please read eligibility requirements for each application below.
- Alabama Screendance: The selection committee is looking for thoughtful, innovative, and well-executed cinematic works that integrate the aesthetics of dance. All applicants should read the Alabama Screendance Eligibility Requirements before applying.
- New Works Concert seeks to nourish and encourage the creative genius of regional choreographers by providing the opportunity to present work in a festival concert. All applicants should read the New Works Concert Eligibility Requirements before applying. All performers must purchase a Alabama Dance Festival registration package.
- The Alabama Dance Showcase is a collaborative effort to bring a diverse sampling of dance from throughout the southeast. All applicants should read the Alabama Dance Showcase Eligibility Requirements before applying. All performers must purchase an Alabama Dance Festival registration package.
- The Birmingham Dance Showcase is a celebration of the metro-Birmingham areas best talent. All applicants should read the Birmingham Dance Showcase Eligibility Requirements before applying. All performers must register for Dance Across Birmingham.
Applicants will be notified by December 15th.

- Recruiter Information Form – Recruit dancers to your summer or college dance program by offering scholarships or program acceptance. Auditions will be held in-person on Friday, January 19th, 2024 at Alabama School of Fine Arts, 1800 Rev. Abraham Woods, Jr. Blvd., 35203. Deadline November 21, 2023.
- Program Advertising – Our program booklet is used at all performances throughout the Festival, starting with the Birmingham Dance Showcase on January 13th, and culminating with the Alabama Dance Showcase on January 21st. Reserve a spot for your ad by December 2, 2023.
- Exhibit Booth Reservations – Exhibit table space is limited, therefore is on a first come, first served reservation basis. More information available in the reservation form. CLOSED.
Registration Discount Opportunities
- Teacher/Educator Scholarship – receive 1 free Teacher/Educator registration for every 10 dancer package registrations in a group registration. (contact Kerri-Noelle Humphrey to receive this discount)
- ADC Membership Discount (Join the ADC)
- Tuition Scholarships – COMING SOON
- Become an ADF Ambassador or volunteer in exchange for registration discounts
