Help us map the movement across Alabama.
The Alabama Dance Census is a statewide effort to identify and connect the people, places, and practices that make up the rich and diverse dance community across our state. Whether you are a dancer, educator, choreographer, studio owner, arts administrator, student, or someone who simply supports dance — we want to hear from you.
By participating in the Dance Census, you’ll help us:
- Build a clearer picture of who is making, teaching, and supporting dance in Alabama
- Identify gaps and opportunities in dance access, funding, and resources
- Strengthen our collective voice to advocate for dance
- Shape future programs and services that reflect the needs of the entire community
This project is led by the Alabama Dance Council with support from a statewide Advisory Task Force, guided by principles of equity, accessibility, and community voice.
The Dance Census launches in January 2026.
