Performances

• The Birmingham Dance Showcase on January 18 is a celebration of the metro-Birmingham areas best talent.
  • All applicants should read the Birmingham Dance Showcase Eligibility Requirements before applying.
  • If selected, all performers must register for Dance Across Birmingham.

• New Works Concert on January 24 seeks to nourish and encourage the creative genius of regional choreographers by providing the opportunity to present work in a festival concert.
  • All applicants should read the New Works Concert Eligibility Requirements before applying.
  • If selected, all performers must purchase an Alabama Dance Festival registration package.
  • APPLY HERE, deadline November 20, 2024.
• Alabama Screendance, January 25. The selection committee is looking for thoughtful, innovative, and well-executed cinematic works that integrate the aesthetics of dance.

• The Alabama Dance Showcase on January 26 is a collaborative effort to bring a diverse sampling of dance from throughout the southeast.
  • All applicants should read the Alabama Dance Showcase Eligibility Requirements before applying. 
  • If selected, all performers must purchase an Alabama Dance Festival registration package.
  • APPLY HERE, deadline November 20, 2024.

Recruiting and Marketing Opportunities

• • Call for Recruiters – Recruit dancers to your dance programs and opportunities! Live audition sessions will be held on Friday, January 24th, 2025 at Alabama School of Fine Arts, 1800 Rev. Abraham Woods, Jr. Blvd., 35203. Deadline for recruiter registration is October 31, 2024.
  • Program Advertising – Our program booklet is used at all performances throughout the Festival, starting with the Birmingham Dance Showcase on January 18th, and culminating with the Alabama Dance Showcase on January 26th. Reserve a spot for your ad by December 2, 2024, available through Festival registration.
  • Exhibit Booth Reservations – Exhibit table space is limited, therefore is on a first come, first served reservation basis. (Recruiters and ADC Members will have priority reservation access. Members receive a 50% discount.)

Registration Discount Opportunities

• Teacher/Educator Scholarship –  receive 1 free Teacher/Educator registration for every 10 dancer package registrations in a group registration. (contact Kerri-Noelle Humphrey to receive this discount)
• ADC Membership Discount JOIN the ADC
• Tuition Scholarships and Volunteer Applications are NOW OPEN, Deadline SEPT. 6. Membership required to apply.

All applications are submitted online. Please click on the link for each form to begin completing the form. Work can be saved and resumed later as needed.
